Adams announces the funeral service for Mr. John Taylor which will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 15, 2017 in The Adams Chapel.
OBITUARY:
Mr. John Henry Taylor (Lijah) was born August 6, 1943. John was a native of Savannah, Georgia who attended the local public schools in Savannah. He was a member of the House of Prayer for All People. He was formally employed as a Baker for more than thirty years at Best Eating Donuts in Stanford, Connecticut. Upon returning to Savannah, he continued working at numerous local bakeries. These included Dunkin Donuts and Daylight Donuts.
John was the proud son of Dorcess Barnes and Raleigh Taylor, Sr. who both preceded him in death. His brothers Norman Roundtree, Sylvester Roundtree, Raleigh Capers Taylor, Palmer Roundtree Jr. “GG” and Herman Roundtree all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters Wanda Taylor, Avis Taylor Haynes and Regina Taylor all of Savannah, Georgia. Four sisters, Dorcess Taylor Wright (Savannah, Georgia), Sandra Taylor (North Carolina), and Josephine Taylor and Carolyn Taylor both of Thomasville, Georgia. Four brothers Raleigh Taylor Jr., (Indianapolis, Indiana), Emanuel Taylor (Savannah, Georgia), Ricky Taylor and Samuel Taylor both of Atlanta, Georgia. Eight grandchildren Jarrod Mathis, Byron Sanders, Jasmine Sanders, Taylor Haynes, Desiree Reed, Douglas Reed, Qurahn Anderson and Nasir Anderson, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
