Mr. John Stanley Smith

December 7, 1947 — October 6, 2024

Savannah, GA

Adams announces the passing of Mr. John Stanley Smith, 76, who transitioned on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

John Stanley Smith: December 7, 1947 - October 6, 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved John Smith.

He was an extraordinary person, as anyone who knew him, even a little bit, would attest to.

From Wigan to the world, we were all better off having known him and spent time in his presence. John was a lot of things.

A successful businessman who helped multiple companies excel, an excellent golfer, a lover of fine wines, a DIY machine, amongst many other things. But most of all, we will all remember him as a devoted husband to his beloved Annie, loving father, proud grandad to his eight grandchildren, and a faithful friend. To say that he was generous is to do him a disservice.

He was forever and always ready with advice, a kind word, or more often than not, helping to solve a problem right alongside you. The world is poorer with him having left it, and we will miss him forever.

Please hold him in your heart and remember him with love.

December 7th would have been his 77th birthday. On this day we will be celebrating his life with an event that will take place in the Hilton Head, SC area. Save the date and details will follow this post.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, we would like to ask anyone who is interested to make a donation to one of the organizations that his beloved grandkids participate in.
