Adams announces the graveside services of Mr. James Thorpe Spaulding which will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 14, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.

OBITUARY

James T. Spaulding, 92, of Savannah Georgia, passed away on 1 November 2022 in Salem, New Jersey.

 James T. Spaulding was born in Savannah Georgia to William G & Anna (Ryals) Spaulding on 16 Oct 1930. 

He attended Beach High school.  James married Elizabeth M. White in June 1951 in Jasper, South Carolina. He worked various jobs and had a loved to cook.

SSgt. Spaulding (retired) was a veteran of Korean and Vietnam campaigns and served 20 years in US Army.  He received many awards, metals and honors to include: Meritorious Service Award, Army Accommodation, Army Achievement, Good Conduct 4th Cluster, National Defense Service, Army Occupational Metal - German, Korean Service,  UNSM W/ 2 Bonze Stars, and National Defense Service Metal with 1^ST OLC. He also received additional citations while working with the NCO school brigade and was involved in military rode and gun club and chapel services.

James  T. Spaulding is preceded in death by his father William G. Spaulding, mother Ana (Ryals) Spaulding, sister Fluelyn (Spaulding) Coleman and brother’s William Avon Spaulding, Noble A. Spaulding, David G. Spaulding, Edward E. Spaulding, and Joseph R. Spaulding.

He is survived by daughters Gail M. Couch (Aaron), Barbara A. Pellot (Marcus), son Jerome C. Spaulding (Susanne), 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends.
