Mr. Gregory Blair Jones, 55, had his transition on Friday, February 24, 2017 under the professional and courteous care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Blair Jones will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Central Church of Christ located 632 Stephenson Ave.
Interment: Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday from 10 A.M.-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
OBITUARY:
Gregory Blair Jones age 55 enter into Eternal rest Friday February 24th 2017. Greg the son of Amos and Edna Jones was born on May 12th 1961 in Savannah Georgia. Greg's father and his baby son preceded him in death. As a child Greg attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. In 1981 Greg graduated from Richard Arnold High School "the home of the mighty Eagles".. He was very active in his school social activities. He organized his high school first band also he formed a small neighborhood band in his parents garage. Greg truly loved music. His favorite music artist was Michael Jackson and his favorite song that Michael song was "Man in the Mirror"
Greg loved his mother and all his children very much. He loves spending time on his grandmother's front porch with all his cousins their friends aunt and uncle's. He always enjoy those times barbecuing and always talking with everyone because we all know Greg love to talk!.. Greg was a very sociable person "he never met anyone he didn't know". He loves to watch the local and CNN news. He was a big fan of the Atlanta Falcons. His last game watched was the "Super Bowl" Sunday February 5, 2017 at his brother "Chico's" house. It was a very good game!
Greg work at Southern States fertilizer for 16 years. He worked off and on at the International longshoremen's Association (ILA) for several years in addition to this he worked at Port City Logistics until his passing.
He is survived by his loving mother Edna Jones who he cherished Pearl Jones (wife)
3 children Gregory Jones son Camilla L. Durham (daughter) and Brittany Rose Jones (daughter) of Sav'h GA. 3 Siblings: Amos A. Jones ( brother), Freddie "Chico" Jones (brother) Melissa(wife) of Sav'h GA and one sister Angela Dennard (Walter) of Atlanta GA, his loving grandmother Rebecca Hill, loving Aunts: Brenda Hall (Willie), Betty Richardson (Rogers), Gifford Mae Fields, Lillie M. Kelly, Carolyn Byrd and Wilma Parris; Devoted Uncles: Edward Byrd, John Byrd, Michael Hill, Tyrone Hill and Darrien Hill: 11 wonderful grandchildren host of nieces, nephews,
cousins and a special dear friend Debra affectionately called "sweet cake"
