Mr. Edwin Charles Morris, 51, had his transition on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services for Mr. Edwin C. Morris will be 12:00 P.M., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at First Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church Rev. Damion Gordon, Pastor

Public Viewing: Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Interment: Laurel Grove Cemetery.


OBITUARY:
Edwin Charles Morris was born on September 20, 1964, in Savannah, GA. Edwin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal savior at an early age and was baptized at Second African Baptist Church. He received his formal education through the Savannah-Chatham Public School System. After graduating from Windsor Forest High School in 1982, he attended college at Georgia Southern University and Savannah State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1987.

Following graduation from college, he began a career in Mass Communications with WJCL, WTOC, WSAV, and other stations in Statesboro, GA., and Atlanta, GA. He later went on to have a teaching career at Bartlett Middle School, St. Paul's Academy, and Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, GA. Prior to his illness, he established his own business, The Morris Group, providing services for various candidates for local, state, and national political offices. Additionally, he was the top salesman for Celebritees.

He leaves to cherish his memories loving and devoted parents, Floyd E. Morris Jr. and Agatha C. Morris, and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
