Mr. Edward O. Yopp Jr. "Tank"

Mr. Edward O. Yopp Jr., affectionately known as "Tank," passed away on March 7, 2025 in Savannah, Georgia. Born on October 8, 1972, in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Edward was a cherished individual whose culinary talents brought joy to many throughout his career as a Chef. Most recently, he demonstrated his exceptional skills at Huey's on River Street, where he left a lasting impression on colleagues and patrons alike.

Edward’s personality was vibrant and warm, marked by his infectious enthusiasm for the Pittsburgh Steelers football team, a passion that brought him camaraderie with fellow fans and friends alike. He was loved not just for his culinary expertise but for the joy and laughter he shared with anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

He is survived by his loving mother, Helen Parker Yopp-Colbert, and his father, Edward Oliver Yopp Sr. Edward will be deeply missed by his children, Sevon (Sharese) Dailey Yopp, Corneilus (Cea Cea) Lexie, Patrick Williams, and Kavon Yopp. He is also survived by his sisters, Vondra Yopp, Regina (Hector) Yopp Green, Lachandra Colbert, Irrocktonjia Sampson and Cassandra Jenkins and brothers, Travis Keith Willis and Darius Lately. 

Edward was predeceased by his son, Assante J. Dailey Yopp, who will forever hold a special place in his family's heart.

Visitation will be held on March 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Adams Funeral Services located at 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, March 15, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, with the service concluding at 3:15 PM. Following the celebration, Edward will be laid to rest in Bonaventure Cemetery's Greenwich Section in Thunderbolt, GA, during a burial service beginning at 3:30 PM.
