-Reflection of Life-


Edward J Small, son of the late Jane and James Small, was born in Savannah Georgia on April 30, 1940. His parents soon moved to New York City where Edward obtained his formal education. He recieved his High School diploma from Samuel Gompers. Soon after, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 4 years. Upon returning from the service he started employment at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, where he started in housekeeping. He later attended nursing school, and graduated as an RN. He started his nursing career and retired from Manhattan Psychiatric Center.
Edward was affectionately known as ""Pee Wee"". Edward was a loving, caring person that always gave to those that were in need. He would always keep in touch with loved ones friends by calling them regularly.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Nita, Willie -Mae and Gertrude and his brother James.


He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter Delores Delsilva, his sons Edward Small Jr. and Christopher Small, wife Olga Deas , two nieces, Angela Ferguson-Smart, (husband, Floyd Smart), Venita Thompson, (husband, Eddie Thompson), an aunt Joyce Brownlee, an uncle Roosevelt Brownlee, one special cousin Henretta Orr and a host of grandchildren, great grand children, cousins, and friends.
