Mr. Eddie J. Williams, Jr.

Adams announces the passing of Eddie James Williams, Jr., 48, who entered eternal rest on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Hospice Savannah. Eddie was the youngest of twin boys born to Eddie J. Williams, Sr. and Nancy Williams in Savannah, Georgia on March 19, 1969. His brother Edward died in infancy.

Eddie attended St. Pius School for Exceptional Children, The Kicklighter School and later graduated from Moses Jackson Exceptional Children’s Center in 1990. He also attended Coastal Development Service Center.

Eddie was a life-long member of Clifton Baptist Church in Garden City. Georgia where he was baptized by Rev. Robert Sweet on August 25, 1979. He enjoyed listening to the word of God. His favorite hymns were “Because He Lives” and “Yes, God is Real.”

Loving memories will be cherished by his family: parents, Eddie Sr. and Nancy Williams; sisters, Etta ”E.J.” (Alexis) Robbins, Shelia (Carroll) White, and Shirley Hendrix; three aunts, two uncles, three nieces, three nephews, eleven grand nieces and nephews; his dedicated caregiver for more than 30 years, Eddie Heyward; others who shared in the caring for him over the years; and a host of family members and dear friends.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM, Clifton Baptist Church, 100 Big Hill Road, Garden City Georgia, Pastor Terrance Pinkney, Officiating. The body will lie in state at the Church from 9:30 AM until the hour of service.
