Mr. Chalmus F. Hicks

Mr. Chalmus Fleming Hicks, 85, transitioned on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Candler General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.


SAVANNAH- Chalmus Fleming Hicks, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 23 at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital. He was born on February 24, 1929 in Sandersville, Georgia to the late Duncan and Lulubelle Hicks. Chalmus proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 24 years and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1970.

He is survived by his son Reginald Hicks (Anita) of Atlanta, GA; his daughter, Regina Y. Hicks of Los Angeles, CA and one grandson, Armondi Stokes-Hicks as well as a multitude of extended family and friends.

Viewing will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 10am-6pm at Adams Funeral Home, 510 Stephenson Ave.

The services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11am at St Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1401 Martin Luther King Blvd in Savannah, GA. Internment with military honors will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery.

A brief viewing will be held at St. Matthew's before the service on Tuesday, January 6 from 10am-10: 45am.
