Mr. Anthony Bernard Woods, Jr.

January 20, 1999 — July 31, 2016

Anthony Bernard Woods, Jr., 17 of Savannah, GA transitioned suddenly early Sunday morning July 31, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the first born of Anthony and Sharon Leach-Woods. Anthony was affectionately known as: “Lil Tony”, “Big Ant” and “Big Guy”.  He attended Memorial Day School during his middle school years and Alfred Ely Beach High School, he was a rising junior. He joined the fellowship of Beulah Baptist Church where he was a member of the “TOT” Ministry- Targeting Our Teens.

Anthony’s passion was basketball. He played for several teams including: Habersham YMCA, Second Arnold Baptist Church, Memorial Day School, Team Intensity AAU and Beach High School. He was a dedicated and devoted team player.

Anthony will be missed by his loving and devoted parents Anthony and Sharon Leach-Woods; his sisters, Lauren Elizabeth Woods and Sabrina Gabrielle Woods; Maternal Grandmother Elizabeth Dixon-Leach; Great-Grandmother Edna Dixon; Grandfather Johnny Woods, Sr.; 3 aunts, 5 grand aunts, 4 uncles and 4 grand uncles and a host of loving cousins and friends.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00am at The Temple of Glory where Bishop Matthew M. Odum is Pastor, Rev. Anthony Lee Edwards, officiating.  Interment: Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
