Mother Edna “Bootsie” Robinson Dixon, 87, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Memorial Health University Medical Center
She was a native of Savannah, Ga. She was educated in the Chatham County Public School System. Mother Dixon retired from Memorial Health University Medical Center where she worked in the central supply unit for 20 years. She was a member of Second Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the Mother of the church and served on the Deaconess Ministry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Freddie Dixon, granddaughter, Vanessa Leach Duncan, and great-grandson, Anthony Woods.
Mother Dixon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. To celebrate her precious memory: five daughters, Ms. Elizabeth Leach, Ms. Frederica Floyd, Ms. Dorothy Pitts, Ms. Victoria Grant and Mrs. Sandra Wright (William); four sons, Mr. Freddie Dixon (Marie), Mr. McArthur Dixon, Mr. Charles Dixon (Patricia), Mr. James Dixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and adopted daughters and sons.
Homegoing services will be held 11:00a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Second Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where Ricardo R. Manuel, Pastor/Eulogist.
Public viewing will be held from 10:00A.M.- 6:00P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
