Mr. Martin Luther King, 48, had his transition Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Savannah native was a 1984 graduate of Alfred Eli Beach High School. He was a proud and devoted volunteer of the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia. Mr. King is survived by a loving mother, Mary King; two brothers: Gabe Willie (Rhonda) King and Leroy Thomas King; two sisters: Willie Mar Green and Justine King; a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, stepsisters, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service: 11:00am Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Greater Emanuel at Gwinnett and Stiles Avenue, Savannah, Georgia 31415. Public viewing: Friday, March 6, 2009 from 9:00am to 7:00pm at Adams Funeral Servicesm Inc, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, Georgia. Mr. King will lie in state at the church Friday, from 9:00am until hour of service.
Interment: Laurel Grove Cemetery, Ogeechee Road at 37th Street Savannah, Georgia 31415.
