Marie Simmons

Mrs. Marie Simmons had her transition on Friday Feb. 5, 2010 at home. She was born on August 11, 1911 to Mr. Tom and Rebecca Bush in Okatie, SC. She received her education in the public schools of Beaufort County, SC. She relocated to Savannah GA, where she lived throughout her adult life. She was the wife of the late James Simmons. She was a member of Second Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served on the Pastor Aid Board and is one of the oldest members of the Church. She leaves to cherish her memories a niece, Rebecca Bush of Savannah; nephew, Johnnie ( Linda) Bush of Thunderbolt; a grandniece (her dedicated caregiver), Kewanna Bush of Savannah; four grandnephews, Dwayne Bush and Julius (Wakila) White of Savannah, Justin (Carmen) White of Valdosta, and Jamaal Bush of Savannah GA; a great niece ,Courtney Bush of Atlanta; three great nices and nephews, Julius White Jr., Noa Jerryman and Jakeyvia White all of Savannah, a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Marie Simmons will Sat. Feb. 13, 2010 at Second Ebenezer Baptist Church; Rev. Ricardo Manuel, Pastor/ Eulogist; Interment Jackville Cemetery in Levy, SC. Public viewing Friday Feb. 12, 2010 from 10:00a.m. until 6:00p.m. at the Chapel of Adams Funeral Services. Instate 9:00a.m. at the Church.
