Mr. Malachi Cannon, Jr., 61, had his transition Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
He was the only son of Malachi Tyrone and Dorothy Lee Cannon. A native of Savannah, GA., ""Brother"", as her was affectionally known, attended the public schools of Chatham County and graduated from Alfred Eli Beach High School in 1970. He was a member of the Marching Band of Sol C. Johnson, AE Beach High Schools and Savannah State College
Malachi was self-employed, serving as a Tailor/Dressmaker and Caterer. He also was a Personel Care Assistant. He was a former employee of Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Cannon was a member of Family Nation Church International.
His father, Malachi T. Cannon and his sister, Jacqueline Cannon Jenkins, preceded him in death.
Survivors: his loving and devoted mother, Dorothy Lee Ford Cannon ; five sisters: Virginia Rose Glenn (Lawrence), Cheryl S. Cannon, Aleathia C. Chaney (Earl),
Dyanne C. Reese(Benjamin) and Dorothy C. Bing(Albert), all of Savannah, GA.;two aunts, Aleathia C. Wright and Mary Alice Snowden, both of Savannah, GA; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other extended relatives and friends.
Funeral service: 1:00pm Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Family Nation Church International, 802 Pennsylvania Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404. Interment: Bonaventure Cemetery, Greenwich Section.
