Luvenia Coston

Luvenia Coston, 74, had her transition Saturday, March 7, 2009, under the excellent and professional care at Hospice Savannah, Inc, surrounded by her loving and devoted family

Luvenia ""Beenie"" Coston was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 13, 1935, to the late Mamie Bulter and James Coston. Luvenia, affectionately called ""Beenie"", attended public schools of Chatham County.

After twenty-five years of dedicated service, she retired from F.W. Woolworth and later retired from Christ Church after fifteen years service.

she was a dedicated member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Nurse's Ministry and A.E. Hagins Senior Choir.

She was an avid walker and could be seen traveling around Daffin Park which she called her ""Mission Field"" and everyone she met was always greeted with her beautiful smile. She loved God and she loved people. Her motto was ""There are some bad in the best of us and some good in the worst of us, it depends on what you're looking for.""

She was preceded in death by sever sibling.

Sheleaves to carry on her legency: a devoted son, Rodney (Gequetta) Jenkins; two daughters: Debra (Avon) Jones and Chineka Coston; a sister, Anne (Harold) Daughtry; sister-in-law, Barbara Coston; four grands: Danielle Murphy, Regina Jenkins, Randall Jenkins and Morgan Barber; two great-grands: Narivity Murphy and Tamia Robbins; several god-children; a host of beloved niecesl nephews. Many life long dedicated friends, neighbors and professional colleagues.

Memorial service: 1:00pm. Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 624 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404, Rev. James H. Terry, Pastor/Eulogist. Private interment will be held at a later date.
