Mr. London Lowman, Jr., 65, had his transition Friday, October 23, 2009 under the excellent and professional care at Hospice Savannah, Inc surrounded by his loved ones.
A native of Savannah, he spent over thirty years in the Bloomington Minnesota area.
He was educated in the Chatham County School System and graduated from Alfred Eli High School in 1966 and Savannah State College (University) in 1974
A decorated Non-Commissionar Officer in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam from 1966-1970. His Military career took him to places like, Korea, Oklahoma and other places of the world before retiring A Disable Veteran in 1970.
The oldest son of London Lowman, Sr., who preceded him in death, and Annie Mae Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Jacob Ferguson.
After a career in Restaurant Management an owner of Sambo Restaurant, he went to work with his fellow Disable Veterans as a Veterant;s Readjustment Counselor for the State of Minnesota until retirement in the late 1990's.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons: London (Tracy)Lowmanstone. and Dewayne Lowman of Minnesota; one daughter Garnetta Lowman of Minnesota; four grands: London Lowmanstone, Zanna Jackson, Corinne Lowmanstone, and Bruce Lowmanstone; his mother, Annie Mae Ferguson; four brothers: Nathaniel
