Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth ""Tiny"" Logan Smith. 86, made her eternal tranisition into the Arms Of Jesus, Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Memorial Health University Medical Center, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. A native of Savannah, GA., ""Tiny"", as she was affectionately called, attended the public schools of Chatham County and graduated from Beach-Cuyler High School and Madame Cargo School of Beauty Culture in Savannah, GA.
She joined the United House of Prayer for All people at the young age of four and has been an ardent member for eight-two years. She was the last surviving (Orginal) member of the Grace McCullough Madison Wac, which she has been a member for sixty-four years.
Her husband, Cary Smith, Sr, parents, Willie and Emma Logan, siblings, Florence, Willie Mae, Carl, Sr., and Oliver, Sr., preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her beautiful memories are: two sons: Cary Smith, Jr., and Larry Smith, Sr., both of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Jacqueline Smith Williams (Milton) of Rincon, GA; one brother, James Henry Logan of Washington, DC; a special nephew and niece, whom she help raised, Benjamin Logan of Savannah, GA and Cora Belle Oliver (Sue) of Philadelphia, PA; five grands: Charita Smith, Larry Smith, Jr., Logan Williams, Ashley Campbell, all of Savannah, GA and Albert Simmons (Chris) of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; two great-grands: Tamoni Stringer and Kayla Flowers, othe nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Funeral service: 11:00am, Saturday, August 16, 2008 at United House of Prayer for All people, 1805 Ogeechee Road, Savannah, GA 31415. Public viewing: Friday, August 15, 2008 from 12 noon - 8:00pm at Adams Funeral Services, Inc, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405. Interment: Laurel Grove Cemetery, Savannah, GA 31415.
