Mrs. Lessie ""B"". Ivey Mack, had her transition Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Tranquility Hospice Home in Austell, GA.
Mrs. Lessie ""B"". Ivey Mack was born to the late Issac and Ellen Ivey, October 31, 1918. At an early age she confessed to God and joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Groveland, Georgia. ""B"", as she was affectionately called, attended Saint Mary's Catholic School in Chatham County. She married Alton C. Mack on February 3, 1940.
""B"" was a Home Engineer and longtime devoted wife and mother.
She impacted host of people with her loving acceptance, her kind heart, her Faith was strong and sure. She followed her Faith, gave Thanks to God for the good and bad. Her response to adversity was always ""Thank God, expect good to come of it, and keep going.""
Her husband, Alton C. Mack, five sisters, five brothers, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Vastie Virginia Taylor; two daughters: Theresa Mack (Thomelle) Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Michelle Mack of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters: Chimelle Johnson and Macy Mack, both of Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Jamaal Royal of Lithia Springs, GA; great-granddaughter, Rasheeda Royal of Lithia Springs, GA; great-grandson, Jami'h Royal of Savannah, Georgia; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service: 3:00pm. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Groveland, Georgia, Rev. C. Perry McNeal, Pastor. Mrs. Mack Cortege will leave the funeral home, Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 1:30pm. Interment: Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
