Mr. Henry E. Frost, 51 had his transition Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA after a brief illness.
Born November 8, 1958 at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Royce Frost, MD and Pauline ""Polly"" Butler Frost.
A deeply spiritual man, Henry was a member of the Unity Church of Savannah. He was a warm and compassionate man and a friend to all who knew him. He was a devoted, passionate advocate for the entire gay community of Savannah and the State of Georgia. He was a Past Chairman of First City Network, one of the original founders of Savannah Gay Pride, a long time member, supporter of Georgia Equality, Inc and founder and operator of ""Under the Rainbow"" Historic Inn along with his partner.
He is survived by his life partner, Kevin Clark of Savannah, GA; two sisters: Laurie Frost of Darien, GA, and Lucy Frost Moore of Nunez, GA; brother-in-law, David Moore; three nieces: Sierra Moore Turner of Swainsboro, GA, Lana Frost Moore of Nunez, GA and Shelly Furman Lee; a great-nephew, Ethan Lee, both of Rincon, GA.
Memorial service: 3:00pm, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Unity Church of Savannah, 2320 Sunset Boulevard, Savannah, GA.
Visitation with family and friends
will be held in the fellowship hall from 2:00pm-3:00pm, prior to the service.
