Harry Williams

January 30, 1935 — June 2, 2009

Mr. Harry Williams, 74, had his transition Tuesday, June 2, 2009 under the excellent and professional care of Hospice Savannah, Inc at his residence surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

A native of Screven County, he lived in Savannah, GA most of his life. He retired from Savannah Electric and Power Company (Georgia Power) after thirty-seven dedicated years as a Foreman. Mr. Williams was a member of the West Broad Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Survivors: wife, Mary A. Howard Williams of Savannah, GA; sons: Santiago (Lisa) Williams of Savannah, GA, Thomas P. Howard of Rockville Centre, NY, and Timothy L. (Shonta) Howard of Savannah, GA; daughter, Odessa (Leo) Watson of Savannah, GA; brother, Alvin (Debra) Williams of Odenton, MD; sister, Carolyn Thompson of Savannah, GA; great uncle, Deacon Willie Coleman of Savannah, GA; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; god childrens; brothers-in-law: Elder Walter Boyd, Jr. of Buffalo, NY, and William Boyd of Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law: Martha Matheson of Stockbridge, GA, Jenett (Pastor Wesley) Bruce of Pompano Beach, FL, and Christine (Peter) Bassette of Fairburn, GA; godmother, Dorothy Hamilton of Savannah, GA; special family friends: Chaplin Archie Seabrooks, Dwellie Parris, dedicated life-long friends: Inous Lewis and Willie Walker; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and dedicated care givers from Hospice Savannah, Inc: Dorothea Hannah, Gwen Robinson and Monica Anderson.

Funeral service: 2:00pm Saturday, June 5, 2009 at West Broad Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2501 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Savannah, GA. Viewing: 12:00 noon to 7:00pm Friday, June 5, 2009 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA. Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West, 1336 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, GA 31408.
