ELNORA PHOENIX

Pastor Elnora Phoenix had her transition Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Candler General Horpital, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, Pastor Elnora Green Phoenix was Pastor Emeritus of Holy Zion Holiness Church.

Pastor Phoenix husband, Andrew Phoenix, preceded her in death.

Survivors: three sons: Donald (Sandra) Phoenix of Ellenwood, Georgia, Robert Phoenix and Harold (Pat) Phoenix, both of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Margaret (Eddie) Pennil of New York City, New York; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Phoenix of Freeport, New York; sister-in-law, Jeanie Phoenix of Atlanta, Georgia; host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service: 11:00am Thursday, April 9, 2009 at First African Baptist Church of East Savannah, 402 Treat Street, Savannah, Georgia 31404, Rev. Thomas Williams, Pastor. Public viewing: from 9:00am to 8:30pm and Visitation: 6:00pm to 8:30 pm, both Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc Chapel. Pastor Phoenix will be in state at the church 9:00am until the hour of service Thursday. Interment East Savannah Cemetery.
