Elizabeth Palmer

Elizabeth Palmer, 74, had her transition Sunday, September 28, 2008 under the excellent and professional care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.

A native of Hardeeville, SC, she moved to Savannah, GA at an early age where she met and married Thomas Palmer.

In the span of her life time, she joined two churches, the first was the Mount Oliver Baptist Church of Bridgeville, Delaware and later she became a member of Connors Temple Baptist Church in Savannah, GA.

Elizabeth enjoyed singing in the church choir, ushering, and serving as chairperson for church committies. She was a long time civic activist dedicated to solving the problems in the communities in which she lived.

Mrs. Palmer daughter, Betty Joyce Palmer preceded her in death.

Survivors: a loving and devoted husband, Thomas Palmer; three children: Thomas Palmer, Jr., Margine Geneva Palmer-Brown and Emmanuel Palmer; eleven grands; twenty-one great-grand; and a host of other extended relatives amd friends.

Funeral service: Saturday, October 4, 2008 at First Friendship Baptist Church, 2151 Weldon Street(Hudson Hill). Public viewing: Friday, October 3, 2008 from 9:00am-8:00pm at Adams Funeral Services, Inc. 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA. In state: 9:00am until hour of service. Interment: Woodville Cemetery
