Elder Jonathan Warnock, 93, had his transition Monday, September 27, 2010 at Memorial Health University Medcal Center, 4700 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404.

Elder Jonathan Warnock, retired pastor of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ and small businessman, made his transition from abundant life to life eternal on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the age of 93. A veteran of World War II, Jonathan Warnock was born the youngest of four children to Samuel and Carrie Warnock on January 20, 1917 in Screven County, Georgia. His family moved to Savannah when he was a young toddler and there he spent most of his life. He leaves to mourn his passing a loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Pastor Verlene Warnock; twelve children; a host of grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. The Wake and the Homegoing will be held separately: On Monday, October 4, 2010, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Bible and Prayer Ministries, led by his wife, Pastor Verlene Warnock, will host the Wake. It is located at 1905 Waters Avenue. On Tuesday, October 5th at 11 a.m., Living Hope Community Fellowship, led by his daughter, Pastor Joyce Hall, will host the Homegoing Celebration. It is located at 5008 Augusta Road (Hwy 21), Garden City, GA. His youngest son, the Rev. Dr. Raphael G. Warnock, senior pastor of Atlanta's historic Ebenezer Baptist Church will deliver the eulogy. In this and many other ways, Elder Jonathan Warnock's profound example and legacy as a spiritual leader live on.
