Elder James Richardson

Elder James Richardson, 77, transitioned on Friday June 3, 2016 at Candler Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Elder James ""Henry"" Richardson, 77, returned to his heavenly home on June 3, 2016 after a battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Henry was born to the late Walter and Earline Richardson. He was raised in a Christian environment which would later become his lifelong support from an early age. He attended Chatham County Public Schools and went on to joined the U.S. Army in July 1956 and served with pride. After serving in the military he started working as a Brick Mason in Savnanah. He was an assistant for his father as an Elder of Glad Tidings Holiness Church.
Henry was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend and partner for life Lula Mae Richardson of 43 years. Henry is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
Henry is survived by his wife, Lula Mae Richardson; Sons; Megel Richardson of Jacksonville, FL, Derrick (Ada) Smith, Stepsons; Jimmy(Gwendolyn) Daniels of SC, Fred Daniels, Josey Lee(Elsie) Robinson of Atlanta, GA, Anthony(Georgetta) Robinson, Nathaniel(Angela) Robinson, Leon Robinson of Neward, NJ, Sam(Kiwonda) Robinson, Daughters, Jenene(Patrick) Williams, Jackie, Stepdaughters; Juanita Bell of Passaic, NJ, Barbara Ann(Henry) Osborne and JoAnn Hopkins; Sister Evelyn and a host of nieces, nephews, grand children, great grands, friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his two stepdaughters daughter, a stepson, a brother and his parents.


Funeral services for Elder James Richardson will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Glad Tidings Holiness Church located 1804 Paulsen Street; Pastor Francenia Cail, Officiating.

Interment: Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the funeral home.

Elder Richardson will lie instate at the church beginning 10:30 A.M.
