Delores M. Janrhett

Ms Delores Janrhett had her transition Sunday, November 23, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. A native of Savannah, GA, she was a long time resident of Los Angeles, CA.

Delores graduated from Tompkins High School in Savannah, Georgia and Southwest College in Los Angeles, California, where she majored in Child Psychology. She started her career as an Administrator then as a Counselor at the 7th Street Elementary School, where she worked for serveral years. Eventually, she retired as a Counselor from Main Street Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA in 1990. She truly loved working with children and before her passing, she was a part-time Substitute Monitor at the Delray Elementery School in Victorville, California.

Delores sincerely loved the Lord and believed he was her loving Savior. She constantly thanked him for His Grace and Mercy and she was always grateful for His blessings. She was baptized and saved at Brampton Baptist Church and was a long devoted member at the Crenshaw Christian Center before moving to Victorville, California and then to Apple Valley, California, where she became a member of the Oasis Christian Center in Hesperia, California.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories a devoted family: three brothers: James (Joe Ann) Janrhett of Hesperia, CA, Christopher (Diane) Janrhett, Victorville, CA, Herbert Janrhett of Savannah, GA; four sisters: Dorothy (Harold) Sweetland of Savannah, GA, Rebecca Hendrix of Savannah, GA, Leatha (Dan) Greene of Savannah, GA, Barbara (Ronald) Smart of Trumbull, CT; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funera service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc., 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, Georgia 31405, Minister Christopher Williams, Presiding/Eulogist. Public viewing: Friday, November 28, 2008 at the funeral home from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. Ms Janrhett will lie in state from 9:00am until hour of service at the funeral home. Interment: Hillcrest Abbey - East Memorial Park on Wheaton Street at the end of Truman Parkway.
