Charles James Brown

Mr. Charles James Brown, 72, had his transition Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Candler General Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

A native of Effingham County, he attended the public schools of Effingham County. Mr. Brown was a member of Connor's Temple Baptist Church, where he a Deacon.
After forty dedicated years of service, he retired from Union Camp (now International Paper).

Survivors: son, Stanley (Vanessa) Brown of Fayeville, GA; daughter, Tiajuana Brown of Atlanta, GA; sister, Angela (Billy) Hurst of Miami, FL; two grands; one great-grand; several nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at Adams Funeral Services, Inc. Chaple, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405.

Funeral service: 12:00 noon Friday, October 21, 2009 at Connor's Temples Baptist Church, 509 West Gwinnett Street, Dr. Rev. Bennie Mitchell, Jr.

Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West, 1336 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, GA 31405.
