Brother Ellie W. Platts, 79, a native of Hampton County, SC made his transition on Friday, December 9, 2016 under the professional care of Hospice Savannah surrounded by his loving wife Elder Dottie Platts and family.
Funeral services for Brother Ellie W. Platts will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Temple of Glory Community Church located 1105 Stiles Ave. Bishop Dr. Matthew Odum, Sr., Pastor.
Interment: Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.
OBITUARY:
Ellie was born October 12, 1937 to the proud parents, Eliot and Flossie Platts. Most of his life was spent in Savannah, GA.
Ellie was a member of Temple of Glory Community Church for over 35 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Dottie Platts; two wonderful daughters, Richardean Platts and Ellie (Kenneth) Tolbert of Allenhurst, GA;
two great sons, James (Vernadette) Platts and Charles (Renee) Platts both of Savannah, GA.
He leaves behind 2 sisters, 1 brother, 2 sister-in-laws, and 1 brother-in-law, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two goddaughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
