Bennie Lee Lemon

Mr. Bennie Lemon, 66, had his transition Friday, February 13, 2009 at Candler General Hospital in Savannah, GA.

Bennie Lemon was born in Sanford, Florida, on March 9, 1942 to Ada Bell and Earnest Lemon. Bennie knew the Lord and was baptized into the Christian faith at an early age.

Bennie met and married his friend and loving companion of thirty years, Elaine Bryant on May 12, 1979. As they grew together, they shared years of love and laughter with their children, Delano. Jamie and Mario as well as other family members and friends. Bennie was a fun loving man known for cooking, laughing and taking care of his pet ""Rusty"".

Bennie quest for a closer relationship with the Lord eventually lead him to the doors of Branded Heart Ministries, where he dedicated numerous hours of volunteer service and served on the Deacon Board.

Bennie worked in the trucking industry for many years ans was affiliated with the following companies: Allied Van Line, Ploof Trucking Company and Chatham Steel until his retirement in 2000.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of thirty years, Elaine Bryant Lemon; sons: Delano (Michelle) Pickett and Mario Lemon; daughter: Jaimilliah (Jaimie) Bailey; stepmother, Carmen Lemon; three grands: Delano, Jr., DaVon and Darielle Pickett; four brothers: Richard (Lula) Lemon of Philadelphia, PA, Lewis (Shirley) Hackson of Maryland; Henry (Casey) Jasper and Michael Lemon. both of Syracuse, NY; five sisters: Marcia Lemon, Louise Lemon, Zulma Vesquez, Teresa (Allen) Wright and Eva Lemon, all of Syracuse, NY; four aunts: Jeanette (Raymond) Byrd of Pembroke, GA, Rosetta (Frank) Coleman of Miami, FL, Ethel Mae Henry of Syracuse, NY, and Ethel Lemon of Fitzgerald, GA; serveral nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services: 11:00am Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Branded Hearts Church International, 512 Berrien Street (Behind Enmark on MLK Blvd), Rev, Kenneth Rouche, Pastor. Interment
Hillcrest Abbey West, Dean Forest Road, Savannah, GA.
