Anthony Lang

Mr. Anthony Lang, 50, had his transition Friday, January 9, 2009 at Saint Luke Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, New York.

Mr. Lang a native of Savannah, Georgia, was educated in the public schools of Chatham County. Following graduation, Anthony enlisted and served honorably in the United States Army. In 1989, he moved to New York City. His uncle Charles took him under his wings, teaching him how to work in Construction. Anthony was employed by the Veterans Administration in the Food Service Industry.

In New York, Anthony's Aunt Bernice provided a very positive force in his life and Aunt Freda in Savannah, Georgia.

Anthony had a joy and passion for life. This joy was shown by his love for his family and especially his mother. He also had a passion for food.

He came to love and accept Jesus Christ at an early age when he joined the Pentecostal Mircle Center in Savannah, Georgia. In New York, Anthony joined St. Stephen's Community A.M.E. Church in Harlem, New York, where he was an Evangelist, served on the Usher Board, in the Choir.

Anthony leave to cherish wonderful memories his wife: Patricia Huins Lang; son, Danzel Allen Huins; mother Daphney Howard; five brothers: Matthew Howard, Barry F. Howard, Mario D. Lang and Randolph ""Randy"" Frazier; seven aunts: Freda Howard, Bernice Penny, Julia A. Holly, Grace Lang, Leona Lang, Lillian D. Gaines and Tina Adams; five uncles: William Charles Howard, Joe H. Lang, Ravenell A. Lang, Sr., Charles E. Lang and John E. Lang; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service: 2:00pm, Saturday, January 17, 2009 at St. Luke Baptist Church, 418 West 38th Street, Savannah, Georgia. Public viewing: Friday, January 16, 2009 from 9:00am - 7:00pm and Visitation: Friday, January 16, 2009 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, both at Adams Funeral Services, Inc Chapel, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, Georgia. 31405.
Mr. Lang will lie in state, the day of the service, from 11:00am until hour of service. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, on Hunter Army Air Force Base, with full Military Honors.
