Mrs. Alice Marie Griffin Miller, 85, had her transition Wednesday, October 21, 2009 surrounded by her family and friends.
The Savannah native was educated through Haven Home, Beach-Cuyler and Georgia State College Institutions. She was a skilled Seamstress, excellent cook and retired as a Biological Technician with the United States Department of Agriculture. Mrs. Miller was a communicate of Scared Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters.
Survivors: her loving son, Littleton L. (Margaret) Miller, III; her devoted daughter/caregiver, Rhonda Miller Williams and friend Lawrence Theus; a special daughter, Shelia Smith; her loving sister, Rose Hunter; her sister-in-law Rose B. Miller; her loving grandchildren: Georgia A. Williams, Zakiyya (Abdullah) Brodie; Shamaal M. Miller; two great-grandchilden; two special friends: Annie Lee Beaton and Clara Bain; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relateves and friend
Funeral service 11:00am Monday, October 26, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1707 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
Viewing Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 12 noon until 7:00pm and Rosary service: 6:00pm - 7:00pm, both at Adams Funeral Services, Inc Chapel.
Interment: Catholic Cemetery, Wheaton Street at the foot of Truman Parkway.
